こんにちは、キビです。
今回は、友人らと旅した、春の木曽路を振り返ってみます！
友人ご家族は前日まで出雲にいたため、JR中津川駅で合流し、レンタカーを借りて木曽地域をドライブしました。



この旅は、風情のある石畳が旅情を誘う、馬籠宿からスタートです。
馬籠宿の坂はすこし急ですが、陣場上展望台まで登ると恵那山が見え、振り返ると中山道を歩く人々の姿がありました。



妻籠宿には季節で変わる展示コーナーがあります。訪れた3月下旬は、たくさんの雛人形が出迎えてくれました。ひなまつりの展示のあとは、五月人形に模様替えするそうです。



2つの宿場町を堪能したところでJR南木曽駅まで移動し、駅前にある「カフェいずみや」へ。
こちらのお店の外観もまた、趣があります♪



扉のガラスから光が入る店内は明るく、和と洋がミックスされたインテリアはどこか異国情緒があり、若い頃に外国を旅した時のワクワク感を思い出しました！



ツナマヨのサンドイッチは、外側がパリッとしたパン（チャバタ）が、きゅうりの食感とよくあいます♪
車を運転しないお母様はグラスの白ワインを一緒に頼み、ランチのひと時を楽しまれていました。



アボカドペーストのトーストにポーチドエッグをのせたプレートは人気メニューのようで、こちらが、この日の最後の一皿でした！
スモークサーモンとハムも添えられていて、オシャレな見た目がインスタ心をくすぐります。



食後の散策では、桜や桃といった春の花々が心をなごませてくれました。
カフェいずみやの近くにある「桃介橋」は日本最大級の木製吊り橋で、歩いて渡ることができます。

木曽川の河原に転がる、角がとれて丸くなった白い花崗岩の情景に、海外から来た友人たちは感激していました！



自分にとっては見慣れた景色やあたりまえの体験も、旅人たちにとっては特別なシーンの連続であることを、あらためて気づかされた一日でした。
今回の木曽路トリップは南側のみでしたが、違うエリアもまた一緒に旅してみたいです。

“Izumiya Cafe; an eatery that makes you happy”

Hello, this is Kibi.
Visiting the well preserved post towns along the Nakasendo Trail is a popular tourist attraction!
Here is a recap of the trip my friends and I took to two post towns in the southern Kiso area this past spring.

Many travelers start their Nakasendo Trail pilgrimage from Magome-juku.
The town is hilly, but its beautiful cobblestone street evokes a sense of travel. Visitors also can enjoy a view of Mt. Ena from the observation deck.

The neighboring town, Tsumago-juku, also fascinates tourists.
A special seasonal display for the Hinamatsuri dolls festival welcomed us on that day.



After strolling through these post towns, we had lunch at Izumiya Cafe in Nagiso-machi Town.
The cafe, located across from Nagiso Station, has a quaint exterior and a charming atmosphere.
Their dishes including ciabatta sandwiches were delicious and photogenic — they made our day!

Momosuke-bashi Bridge, near by the cafe, is one of the largest wooden suspension bridges in Japan.
You can walk across the bridge and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Kisogawa River.

Traveling with friends who were visiting these places for the first time helped me realize that there are still new discoveries to be found in familiar scenery and experiences!

This trip focused only on the southern part, I would love to explore the rest of of the Kiso area next time!
