こんにちは、キビです。
広い木曽町をドライブしていて、山の息吹を一番感じられるのが三岳（みたけ）地区です。

三岳は、開田高原と隣接するエリアですが山の色合いはだいぶ異なります。
翡翠色の景色の中で胸いっぱいに吸い込む空気は、どこか神秘的です。

冬は荘厳に氷結するあの崖も、いまは静かに佇みます。

王滝川に沿って車を走らせ、すこし坂を登ると日向八幡宮へたどり着きました。
境内にあるヒノキの老木はとても大きく、てっぺんまで見えません。

ふり返ると霧の切れ間から木曽駒ケ岳が見えましたが、すぐにまた隠れてしまいました。
木曽谷にももうじき梅雨がやってきます。

“Driving through fresh verdant landscapes in Mitake district”

Hello, this is Kibi.
You might be surprised by the various views of forests or mountains in Kiso-machi town.

Mitake district is next to Kaidakogen plateau but its scenery is more mountainous.
You can take a deep breath in that solemn jade colored atmosphere in early summer.

In winter, the cliff is famous for the grand icicles of Shirakawa-hyochugun: water drips down the cliff face and creates huge icicles like a frozen water fall.

I drove along the Otaki-gawa river and climbed a slope then I got to Hinata Hachimangu shrine.
The small shrine was quiet and the old Hinoki cypresses looked like they could reach the sky.

On the way home I saw Kisokomagatake mountain but it disappeared behind mist before sunset.
The rainy season will come soon!
